ABOUT GOT LUNCH, NEWINGTON
In 2017, a small group of volunteers saw a need in Newington. Eligible children get free or reduced lunch during the school year, but what happens during the summer?
Out of this need came Got Lunch Newington. An organization managed completely by volunteers from the community and Church of Christ, Congregational who buy, package, and deliver lunch ingredients to Newington children every week during the summer.
Through small donations from the community and two-yearly food drives, Got Lunch Newington has fed over 1,000 Newington children. And each year the need keeps growing.
